This approach encompasses our simple suppers, candlelight dinners and the family Sunday lunch, we don’t scrimp on our quality regardless of the price or occasion.

5 Star Restaurant Testimonial

“A warm and friendly pub in a stunning location with a great selection of local ales and delicious food to boot. Had friends up from London who were bowled over by the hospitality and the quality of the food – the fish (freshly caught in Brixham, Devon) and chips were restaurant quality as was the steak. Done to perfection! A lovely country pub tucked away on the outskirts of Bruton. Highly recommended.”

Thoroughly enjoyed spending Christmas Day lunch at this pub. Easy to find, easy to park. Was a halfway meeting point with relatives. Absolutely ideal. Warm and welcoming, homely yet smart and relaxed. Superb food and service. So glad we booked it. All of our party enjoyed the food and we were able to choose from a lovely selection for those who wanted to avoid turkey. Can't fault any of it. Served piping hot and the freedom to help yourself to tea, coffee and chocolates before a long drive back was very welcome. Look forward to visiting again!

2nd visit year or so apart and still very good, steak chips and all the trimmings, pie mash and veg, trio of puddings all nicely cooked and presented.
Lovely village pub nicely tucked away in the Somerset countryside. 2 good real Ales, Bath GEM, Exmoor Gold. It is food orientated with plenty of room, but still places for locals to drink, including the lovely rear terrace with great views.
